I have a Master’s degree in Chemistry and a Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences and Technologies focused on the development of analytical GC-MS methods for identification of environmental pollutants in food. I deepened my knowledge in the analytical chemistry field working for five years at the Ligurian Chemical Laboratory of the Experimental Zooprophylactic Institute of Piemonte, Liguria e Valle d’Aosta, where we analyzed food to detect environmental pollutants, heavy metals, histamine, marine biotoxins and additives thus assuring food safety. In 2012 I joined the Analytical Chemistry Lab at IIT and I started to approach the world of Drug Discovery, dealing with in vitro ADME studies. Today, I’m in charge of most of the DMPK screening assays that our Lab performs such as solubility, metabolic stability, plasma protein binding and permeability assays. Moreover, I normally take part in external projects that involve other IIT Centres, universities or companies. I am among the invertors of Italian patent 102021000018455 “Biomarcatori della Malattia di Alzheimer” and I’m a co-author in 23 papers (2 as First).
