Davide Esposito is a Post-Doc at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia. Davide's research investigates how the brain uses head and trunk movements, internal representations and audiovisual perception to estimate one's heading. To this aim, he develops new assessment and training tools in virtual reality. He obtained the BSc in bioengineering from the Politecnico di Torino, the MSc in bionics engineering from Università di Pisa and Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, and the PhD in bioengineering and robotics from Università di Genova and Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia. He is currently a member of the Unit for Visually Impaired People (U-VIP), where his main research is carried out. He is also a member of the ANTARES joint lab, a partnership between U-VIP and UNIGE's psychiatry section to create new psychiatric treatments based on the sensori-motor system, where he acts as technological coordinator.
