Cinzia Montinaro graduated in Biological Sciences and after her graduation, she obtained a Professional Biology Qualification (Public certified exam at the University of Salento, Lecce) and is enrolled at the Italian professional order ONB – Ordine Nazionale dei Biologi (Section A). She received her Ph.D. in Biological and Environmental Sciences and Technologies from the University of Salento. She worked as PostDoc in the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, Center for Biomolecular Nanotechnologies (IIT@CBN), in the Multifunctional Neural Interfaces with Deep Brain Regions research line, starting from June 2023.

- Excellent skills in the use of two photon microscope (2P); optimal mastery in handling of optical fibers and in preparations of mouse brain slices. Animal surgery under stereotactic frame and animal perfusion. Competence in the maintenance and housing of the zebrafish animal model (Danio rerio). Experience in molecular biology techniques, methods and protocols applied to gene expression (RT-PCR, real time PCR, nucleic acid extraction and analysis, protein extraction). Optimal mastery in handling biological samples. Excellent competence in the use of laboratory tools. High capacity in the analysis of the effects physiological and toxicological of simple or composite natural matrices on the embryonic development of vertebrates in the model zebrafish (lethal, sub-lethal, morphological and morphometric effects). Good experience in maintenance and treatment of mammalian immortalized cell cultures (human-derived Caco-2, U937, THP1, Hela; murine B104, NIH-3T3).
