Among the international collaboration, since 2021, IIT has established an interdisciplinary PhD program in collaboration with the Open University (OU; Milton Keynes, UK), as an OU Affiliated Research Centre at IIT (ARC@IIT). This PhD program awards Doctorates in Health, Sustainable, and Human Technologies with research activities conducted within the framework of the OU Affiliated Research Centre @IIT in Genova.
Program
The PhD in Health, Sustainable and Human Technologies is an outstanding program that offers a comprehensive curriculum consisting of taught modules, including disciplinary subjects, transferable skills such as IP protection and commercialization, as well as energy supply, sustainability, mental health, ageing, and epidemics. These modules can be delivered either on-site or remotely to facilitate learning for all students.
The program has a maximum duration of four years, and an intermediate examination must be passed before the end of the first year to allow progression to the next stages of the program.
